Innovations in Primary Care Plus
IPC Plus Limited is a joint venture company between Innovations in Primary Care Limited (IPC) and Ashley House Clinical Services Limited (AHCS). AHCS is a fully owned subsidiary of Ashley House plc, a mature stock market listed company which has been building primary care and other health related premises since 1991. AHCS was formed in 2006 to partner GP organisations and consortia to provide management expertise and support to enable clinicians to design and provide services in the new competitive market of the NHS.
IPC chose AHCS to support them in their strategy to develop out of hospital services as theirs was the most attractive option. It ensured that the clinicians retained full ownership and control over the direction of their own organisation, IPC Ltd, and having the ‘golden vote’ relating to clinical matters and growth in the Joint venture by holding contracts in IPC Ltd. This was enabled through the establishment of the joint venture company, IPC Plus Ltd, in which there is equal ownership and Board representation by both AHCS and IPC.
