Innovations in Primary Care Ltd. was formed in June 2005. The two original directors were joined by four energetic and innovative colleagues and the Board was formed. The following months were occupied by meetings and discussions and by the beginning of 2006 every practice in Adur, Arun and Worthing had expressed interest in joining the company. Shortly afterwards three of the Chanctonbury practices also joined.

Since that time, IPC has expanded across West Sussex. Our shareholders are GPs, practice managers, nurses and receptionists from 60 practices and cover approximately 500,000 patients. The important point is that every shareholder is a member of the NHS and the company has been formed to protect and invigorate local services both under the NHS and privately. Our aim is to provide high quality, effective, local services to patients.
