Workflow coding and summarising

A complete, up to date and readily accessible patient record makes a huge difference to patient experience, safety and effectiveness of care. There is an enormous amount of correspondence between GP practices, hospital trusts and community care organisations. For patient safety and for effective care it is essential that it is all accurately and promptly, received, stored and coded on the patient record. This work is specialist administrative work and can be hard to cover absence for. IPC has a team of skilled coders who provide this cover remotely, working in line with any practice’s policy. Our coders are proficient in SystmOne and EMIS/Docman and receive regular audit and coaching opportunities from IPC portfolio GPs.

This skilled group can also be booked by a practice to support with summarising records of new patients at the practice.
